Meet Ida Uzelman, a compassionate and experienced grief and loss counsellor serving individuals, couples, and families in Kelowna and the surrounding area. Ida is dedicated to supporting her clients through any life challenges they may be facing, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to process and heal.
Ida believes that you are not your problem and is committed to working collaboratively with her clients to remove labels and separate them from their problems. Using evidence-based and resilience-focused approaches such as CBT, Narrative therapy, DBT, and Somatic modalities, Ida helps her clients to reframe limiting beliefs and retell their stories in a way that serves them.
Through education, inspiration, and her calming presence, Ida helps her clients to uncover tools for processing, feeling, and exploring all that exists within them. She believes in the inherent goodness of human beings and their capacity for both external and internal change. While we cannot change the past, Ida believes that we can change how those past events affect us in the present. Ida is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor and works with her clients using an integrated and holistic approach. She facilitates the integration of the healing journey through self-love, compassion, and acceptance, empowering her clients to speak their truth and show up authentically. With Ida’s support, her clients can create alignment and fulfillment in their lives, cultivating holistic wellness tools that can be utilized for the rest of their lives.
